DESCRIPTION:This year we are going to the lovely sunshine coast for our year end camp! \nCamp Byng\, located near sechelt\, and is a beloved scout camp with many features such as archery\, pioneering\, beach exploration etc.\n \nWe will all meet at horeshoe bay ferry terminal at 4:30pm with aims to make the 530 sailing to langdale. We have booked a bus on the otherside to get us the rest of the way there. Please find attached a standard camp gear list for camp. Please remember that your cub will need to be able to carry their own gear on and off the ferry\, so pack with that in mind and try not to over pack. New West shoppers love to help scouts\, and are inspired to give by seeing the youth that their donations support.\n \nWe will be handing out apples (for a donation) from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. We will be meeting at the recently opened Uptown Plaza at the corner of Belmont and 6th Street in New Westminster.\n \nPlease try to attend for a morning shift (10:00 am to 12:30 pm) or an afternoon shift (12:30 to 3:00 pm). DESCRIPTION:9:00 am - Registration begins\n9:30 am - Grand Howl\, Announcements\, Safety Moment\n3:45 pm - Closing Ceremonies\n \nWe will have staggered drop-off and pick-up times for your Packs - this will be communicated as soon as registrations have all been sent in (need to know how many are coming and from where before we can plan this out).\nDrop off times will be either 8:15am or 8:45am and pick up with be either 4:00pm or 4:30pm.\n \nRegistration Deadline: Sunday\, April 4\, 2027 - No Late or On Site Registrations will be accepted\nRegistration fee of $10 per person (Cubs and Scouters) which includes camp rental\, morning snack and an event crest. If you want to purchase crests for your Station Volunteers this can be done on your registration for at a cost of $4 each. Group registration packages can be picked up at the registration desk by one of your Group Scouters on the day of the event. Registration is in advance so that we can let the people running stations know how many Cubs they should plan to expect. Forms are in the attachments of this posting. LOCATION:Fraser Cemetery - meet in the cemetery\, 200m southeast of the Office on Richmond St.
DESCRIPTION:Gravestone cleaning\nJust before Remembrance Day our Group goes to the Fraser Cemetery and clean the gravestones of veterans. We do this in cooperation with The Society of the Officers of the Honorable Guard (SOHG). We have been doing this for a number of years and find it a great way to give back to the community.
